The 2026 roadmap for DC: Dark Legion introduces a series of updates scheduled for the second and third quarters of the year. This development cycle focuses heavily on expanding the game’s PvE (Player vs. Environment) offerings and providing more consistent daily engagement for the player base.
Black Diamond Infiltration
A primary addition to the world map is the Black Diamond Infiltration, a new interaction layer that allows commanders to target non-allied bases to secure a resource known as black diamonds. This feature is designed as a standard 4X strategy mechanic that allows players to obtain items without depleting the inventories of other players.

Training Simulator Expansion
Strategic depth is further addressed through the Training Simulator expansion, which introduces multi-squad challenges. This update requires players to utilize multiple lineups for a single fight, expanding tactical options beyond a primary team.
Additionally, the game will implement new faction challenges for seven specific groups: Birds of Prey, Arkham’s Most Wanted, Justice League Dark, Justice League, Teen Titans, Bat Family, and Superman Family. These challenges provide fresh progression paths and specific rewards for each group. For cooperative play, the League Conquest mode will debut as a node-based PvE environment where league members must coordinate to capture structures and advance toward enemy strongholds.
Mythic Champion Updates
Character progression undergoes a significant change with the introduction of Mythic Champion updates. Under this system, selected mythic champions can transition into a limited mythic status, which grants them higher stat potential and unique legacy pieces to enhance their viability against newer characters. The roadmap also outlines several themed seasonal events, including a special event in June that is anticipated to be related to the Superman family and the Supergirl movie. Other upcoming events are expected to focus on the Teen Titans, Atlanteans, and Green Lanterns.
The update schedule includes the arrival of several new champions, with community speculation and teasers centering on figures such as Mr. Freeze, Beast Boy, and variants like Death Metal Superman and Nightfight versions of Batman and Jason Todd. These additions, combined with the new gameplay modes, are intended to provide players with more activities to perform when major events are not active.
While certain competitive elements like the Great Krypton Rush tournament have been deprioritized, the current focus of the sources suggests a shift toward implementing PvE-style events to address player frustrations and revitalize the community.
